A native of Beaumont, Texas, Kelly Donaldson graduated from SMU in 1979, and worked in the construction industry in southeast Texas and southern Louisiana. He returned to SMU law school, and clerked for Canterbury, Stuber Elder & Gooch and Vial, Hamilton, Koch & Knox. Upon graduation in 1986, Kelly began his construction law practice with Joe Canterbury. He has consistently represented clients involved in design, procurement and construction since 1986.
Eric graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. and from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law with his law degree. He was the Notes and Comments Editor for the Texas Wesleyan Law Review, and he worked as a law clerk for Justice Amos Mazzant (Fifth Court of Appeals, Dallas), Justice Bob McCoy (Second Court of Appeals, Fort Worth), and Federal Magistrate Judge Irma Ramirez (Northern District of Texas). In addition to commercial litigation, Eric will also work with the Firm’s School Law, Governmental Liability and Labor and Employment Practice Groups.
Brent graduated from Southern Methodist University with a B.B.A. and a B.A. In his first career, Brent worked as an Associate Operations Producer with ESPN College Football and a producer/director of commercials, short films, and in-arena entertainment. He later graduated from SMU Dedman School of Law, where he was selected as a Hatton W. Sumners Scholar. Brent will focus on entertainment law and commercial litigation.
