Experience
Mr. Welch has over twenty years of experience handling complex commercial and business tort litigation. A substantial portion of his practice has involved the defense of accountants from liability claims involving allegations of negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, and violations of deceptive trade practices statutes. He also has significant experience in corporate compliance and has litigated a wide range of other types of cases in both state and federal courts involving professional liability, partnerships, commercial transactions, deceptive trade practices, personal injury, mass torts, and federal false claims.
Mr. Welch is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell (its highest rating), and the publisher of Texas Monthly magazine has named Mr. Welch as a Texas Super Lawyer and previously as a 40 and Under Texas Super Lawyer.
Professional Information
Mr. Welch is admitted to practice before the highest state court of Texas, as well as federal courts including the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas.
He is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, and the Dallas Bar Association.
